... Tuesday, 7 April 2009 Over the Easter weekend RTÉ will celebrate Nobel Laureate Seamus Heaney's 70th birthday with a range of output on Radio, Television and Online. Speaking about the celebration, RTÉ Director-General Cathal Goan said: "RTÉ is delighted to be able to give our audience the chance to be part of the celebration of Seamus Heaney's 70th birthday. Over the course of the Easter period across RTÉ's services on Radio, Television and Online we will be featuring output related to Seamus Heaney's work and life, including a special address he will make during RTÉ Radio 1's live Arts Show marking his birthday on Monday 13 April.
