COLUMBUS - The Ohio State Highway Patrol and Columbus Division of Police - Critical Incident Response Team are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred this afternoon in north Columbus. Troopers said a passing motorist advised a trooper of a possible impaired driver on Interstate 270, east of Interstate 71, near milepost 17 at 11:56 a.m. today. The trooper observed the suspect vehicle, a silver 1989 Buick Park Avenue, driving erratically in the westbound lanes of Interstate 270 and attempted to initiate a traffic stop. The suspect vehicle fled westbound on Interstate 270, then exited onto Interstate 71 south, then onto St ate Route 161 east. The suspect vehicle then fled north on Ambleside Drive through several ap artment complexes including the Sharon Green Apartments at 1318 Barnes Drive in Columbus.
