Song, Ph.D., Personal Care Ingredients, BASF, with the prestigious Allan B. Black Award for her paper titled, "Complex Effect Pigments: Innovative Solutions for Ethnic Color Cosmetics." The Allan B. Black Award, sponsored by Presperse, LLC, is given annually for the best paper on Make-Up Technology presented at a seminar or national meeting. The paper was presented at the SCC Annual Scientific Seminar in June 2008 and discusses challenges associated with developing color cosmetic products for ethnic groups.
